UBBI Hosts It’s 2nd of Four Youth Futurity Events

The Anderson County Battle of the Bull hosted the 2nd of 4 Youth Futurities this season in Palestine, Texas on July 7th.  There were 12 Youth members with 16 Youth Futurity entries.

“The youth entries were good,” stated Randy Schmutz, the general manager of the UBBI.  “We had two more youth bulls than we did in June and four new youth members!”

Lacee Harris and her bull, #870 Wingmaster earned a first place check for $960 and the Tres Rios Silver Championship buckle.  Wingmaster was the Reserve Champion at the first Youth Event and has now earned a total of $1632 and 28 points at two events and is the UBBI Youth Standings leader.

The big money winner of weekend was new member, Tyler Sparks finishing second and fifth with bull #837 Swamp King and bull #675 Swango, with scores of 83 and 81 points and earning a combined total of $1152.  In third place was Ryleigh Wolfe with bull #057 Copenhagen Junkie with a score of 82.25 points and a check for $608.  Conner Schmutz picked up the 4th place check of $480 with a score of 81.5 points and $480.

The UBBI will host it’s 3rd Youth event in Duncan, Oklahoma on July 21st and it’s 4th and last event in Palestine, Texas on August 4th.  Youth memberships are $50 and entry fees are $275.
