UBBI Eastern Region Adds First Event of the Season

UBBI Headquarters (May 16, 2011)  At the beginning of the 2011 season, the UBBI divided the United States into 6 different regions, giving breeders across the country the opportunity to qualify for the UBBI National Finals regionally.  With the addition of two new events on the schedule, the UBBI will host at least one event in each region this year.  The Great American Bull Bucking will be held on June 18th in Manassas, Virginia (Eastern Region) and the Midwest Bucking Bull Association will Co-Sanction an event in Seneca, Wisconsin (Midwest Region) on June 4th.

The event in Manassas, Virginia will feature a Derby (3 yr old) and Classic (3&4 yr old) event and the event in Seneca, Wisconsin will host a Yearling Futurity, 2 Year Old Futurity and Bucking Bull Sale.  Points earned at the event in Seneca, Wisconsin will also count toward both the Midwest and Northern Region qualifications.  “Members who live in the Northern Region can compete in Seneca and their points earned there will count toward their Northern Region standings,” stated Randy Schmutz, general manager of the UBBI.  “We decided this would be a good move because it will encourage more participation from members outside the Midwest Region, increasing entries and prize money available to all who enter.  The Midwest Region has the fewest number of breeders and with more entries they will have a great event to participate in!”
