Rawson & Foutch Win United Futurity League Event #2

The United Futurity League (UFL) hosted it’s second event of the season in conjunction with the Red River Chute Out in Ada, Oklahoma on April 24th and 25th. Twenty UFL teams participated with a total of 60 team bulls competing. Forty of the team bulls also entered and competed as individual bulls in the UBBI Open Futurity.

The UFL competition proved to be as tough as ever, but Mike Rawson/Chase Foutch’s team prevailed with a total team score of 258 points. That’s an average of 86 points per each bull.

“The UFL Team competition is all about stategy,” explained Randy Schmutz, general manager of the UBBI. “It looks like to me you’ve gotta have  a superstar that you can trust to do his job without any mistakes and then 2 really solid performers! That’s exactly the mix Rawson and Foutch had.”

the bull as high as 23.25 points. Bull #L301 posted a score of 84.75 points and bull #319 scored 83 points. Mike Rawson and Chase Foutch picked up a check for $15,000 and a beautiful Tres Rios Silver championship buckle.

Finishing in second place was All Star Ranch/Brett Romkema’s team with a total score of 257.75 points, earning a check for $6500. And in third place was Cord McCoy’s/Nina Webb Bucking Bulls with a total score of 255.75 points and receiving a check for $5000.

The All Star Ranch/Brett Romkema team finished 4th in it’s first outing at Locust Grove, Oklahoma and earned 16 points. With it’s second place finish in Ada, Oklahoma and earning 18 points, their team leads the points standings with a total of 34 points.

Other UFL Teams finishing in the money in Ada were Tom Peterson; TM Cattle Co/BS Cattle Co; Barrett & Prewitt; Scott Cattle Company; Jared Allen’s Pro Bull Team. In the UFL Team standings Barrett & Prewitt are splitting 2nd/3rd place; Mike Rawson/Chase Foutch are in 4th and DAM Cattle Company who won the first UFL event are finished in 5th place in Ada.
