Marlene Henry’s bull #81 Mickey Mouse was injured last year at the final regular season UBBI event and unable to compete at the UBBI National Finals.  After winning the Nutty Jerry’s UBBI event in September with a 90 point score, Mickey Mouse has been laid off, resting and rehabilitating.  Obviously he’s back in Championship form and ready to for the 2012 campaign.  Mickey Mouse won the Classic event in Winnie with a score of 90 points and earned $2760.  He beat 23 bulls.  Apache Moon from Rafter C/Kenny Granier finished 2nd with 88.25 points.  #20 Cajun Gator from Goodner Cattle Company and #302 Sic Em Sam from Oaks & Green split 3rd and 4th place with scores of 88 points.

Frontier & Ray/Folds/Strickland’s #C46 Flyboy continued his winning ways beating 44 other Derby bulls.  Flyboy placed 4th in Mineral Wells and got the 1st place check and buckle in Winnie this month with a score of 89 points.  Flyboy’s check was $3107.  Paul Sparks (OKA Lusa Rodeo Stock) and his bull #97 Taz walked away with 2nd place honors with a score of 88.5 points.  Finishing 3rd was Wilson/Schmidt’s #X8 with a score of 87.25 points.

The March Futurity at Nutty Jerry’s attracted 60 bulls and when the dust settled it was Tom & Tish Peterson’s bull #05 Modern Warfare with an 88.75 point score winning first place and $2700.  This was Tom & Tish’s second win in the past two events with two different Futurity bulls.  Splitting second and third place was Rockin’ M Cattle Company’s #042 Rollin’ Smoke and Guidry Land & Cattle’s #496.  Both posted scores of 87.25 points.  The Nutty Jerry’s Arena seems to suit Rollin’ Smoke.  He has finished 1st and 2nd at the first two Winnie events this season.

The March event in Winnie featured 45 Derby, 24 Classic and 60 Futurity bulls for a total of 129 bulls!
