The UBBI event in Palestine had a lot of new bulls and they all came to win.  And like the Derby, the Classic was won by a bull entering his first UBBI event this year.

“Not only did Joker win the event, he was the first bull to perform on Saturday night,” explained Randy Schmutz, general manger of the UBBI.  “I was pleased to see the judges stick their pencil out there on the first one.  They were not afraid to mark the bull and he ultimately won the event!”

All four judges marked Robbie Schroeder’s #822 Joker 23 points for a total of 92 points and a he earned a check for $2,760.  Finishing second was #177 Super Trooper from Mike Rawson with a score of 89.75 points picking up a check for $2,070.  Splitting 3rd & 4th place was Circle T Ranch & Rodeo’s #822 and TNT/Kash Cattle’s #91 with a score of 88.75 points.  Both bulls earned $1,552.

“The Classic bulls at this event were as tough as I’ve ever seen,” shared Schmutz.  “Seven of the nine bulls who picked up a check were participating at their first UBBI event this season!  That’s exciting for the industry and a testimony to how many really good bulls are out there!”

First time check winners this year in the Classic included Mike Rawson, Circle T Ranch & Rodeo, TNT/Kash, Kevin Pool, Cory Melton/Winston Loe and Jeff Harris.
