Nutty Jerry’s hosted it’s third UBBI event this season and featured 85 two, three and four year old bulls. In the Derby, Benny Cude’s Bull #901 beat 34 other bulls to take the win with a score of 89.5 points, a full two points ahead of the number two bull. Cude’s #901 earned $2,691.
“We’re excited because we raised this bull,” exclaimed Benny Cude. “He’s by Mud Pack (Mudslinger) and out of a Trevor Walker cow. It’s special when you bring one you raise and he does good.”
Finishing second was #504 Hot Shot from Mutt Neuman and the Bar N Bar Rodeo crew with a score of 87.5 points and a check for $2,070. Fly Boy from Frontier/Ray/Folds/Strickland posted a score of 87.25 points to win third and $1,552.
The Classic featured 19 bulls and Greg Talbert from Colorado came out on top posting the second highest Classic score of the season, with his bull #6810 Compact with 90.25 points. Compact earned $2,731. In second was Marlene Henry’s Mickey Mouse with a score of 89.75 points, earning $1,638 and finishing third was Black Betty from Paul Daniel/Lorie Barbare posting a score of 89 points and picking up a check for $1,092.
Thirty-One Futurity bulls participated on Saturday morning and Rockin’ M Cattle Company’s #037 Betta Be Movin’ finished 1st with 86.25 points and $1,953. Cory Melton & Winston Loe were second with #169 scoring 84.75 points and earning $1,534. Sean Scalco picked up 3 checks in the Futurity for 3rd, 4th and 6th place totaling $2,720 with bulls Smack That, Vote For Pedro and Frick It. Will Sultemeier grabbed a 5th place check for $767 with bull #190 Fallen Angel with 82 points.
