The 1st Annual Red River Chute Out had a tremendous amount of talented bucking bulls. . . . .two-hundred and four to be exact.  The Derby featured 61 three year old bulls and the Hoosier superstar, Circle City from Mike Trimble continued his winning ways in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  Circle City was last year’s Gold Standard Futurity Co-Champion and has now added another buckle to his list of awards.  The Indiana bull, flanked by Amanda Trimble, picked up his first check as a 3 year old at the Spring Spectacular, placing 15th and earning $841.  He has now followed that up with a win at the Red River Chute Out and has earned over $4,300 in UBBI earnings this season.

Spitting 2nd and 3rd place was Hargis/Jack’s #S14 Pecos Bill and #1467 Square Head from Dennis and Jan Owens, both with scores of 88.5 points and checks for $2,279 each.  Rounding out the top 4 was another bull from Dennis and Jan Owens and Sam Wyatt called Born This Way with a score of 88 points.

“This was a great set of three year old bulls,” explained Randy Schmutz. “The top 30 bulls were marked an 85 (score) or better!  Breeders from Indiana, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri and Kansas all placed in the money!  That’s outstanding!”
