Anderson County Battle of the Bull Event #3

At the third Anderson Count Battle of the Bull event, the Derby found a new name at the top of the winner’s list, with Mutt Neuman’s Bucking Bulls # 504 Hot Shot posting an 89.5 point score and earning $2,898 in prize money. Bull #CX80, Downtown Brown finished second with 88.5 points. Downtown Brown is owned by Folds/Strickland/K-C Bucking Bulls/Sparklin Acres.

The Classic also had a newcomer in the #1 spot. Paul Martinez attended his first event with bull #108 and put up a 90 point score to earn $2,501. Show Sports Bucking Bulls finished 2nd and 4th with bull #851 Thirteen and bull #802 Blue Gangster. In third place was George Vance’s #00 Go Joe.

The Futurity contest featured 47 bulls and Crazy Mother Trucker from Paul & Lorie Daniel/Bill & Cindee Clark won 1st with an 89.75 point score. The 2012 Wayne Hodges 4 Star Trailer Super Series Champion, Fire For Effect from the Rockin’ Rafter P Ranch finished 5th. Rounding out the top 5 in the Futurity were Smooth Operator owned by Rockin’ Rafter P Ranch, Stuck on Stupid owned by Paul & Lorie Daniel/Bob & Jeri Adams and #013 Quick Shot owned by Curtis Leschyschyn/4G Ranch.

At the fourth and final Youth event, it was Westin & Orin Cobb’s bull #-70 White On Rice winning with a score of 86.25 points and picking up $1,040 in cash. White On Rice competed in all 4 Youth events and placed in 3 of the 4 competitions and earned a total of $1,990 and will be crowned the 2012 Youth Futurity Series Champion.

The UBBI has added another Anderson County Battle of the Bull event to the schedule on August 25th and 25th. This event will replace the event originally scheduled for Nutty Jerry’s in Winnie.
